Essential Question/s: What are the steps of the scientific method? Agenda: Review scientific method, graphing and introduce lab safety. Daily Learning Target: BTEOTD, IWBAT list and define the steps of the scientific method by reviewing the steps and defining them with a partner, sharing our answers as a class and correcting our answers. Class/HW: Defined list of the steps of the scientific method. |
Week 4
Monday-Tuesday, August 8-9:
Essential Question: How does one behave safely in a science lab?
Daily Learning Target: BTEOTD, IWBAT discuss and demonstrate how one should behave safely in a lab by watching a short lab safety video> and doing an interactive online tutorial, taking notes in my notebook for the video and for lab safety rules presented to the class as listed on the contract linked below.
Agenda: 1) Watch video as a class. 2) On your own: Do Biology lab safety tutorial here> (should take about 20 minutes), 3) summarize online tutorial key points (be reasonably detailed) in your notes and 4) participate in a group share out of lab safety contract rules.
Class/HW: Bring digital safety contact> signed this week by you and your parents. En español>
