|
Process:
Step 1: Select an element that you would like to learn more about. Step 2: Decide how you would like to present your findings – as a poster, PowerPoint presentation, oral presentation or written summary. Step 3: Submit a written request and include 1) your name, 2) your period, 3) your element, 4) how you will present your information and 5) where you will collect your data. Step 4: Perform research on your element and compile your findings on all major points listed above on a poster, PowerPoint, oral presentation, written summary or other approved method of delivery. |
Other helpful suggestions: Select an element you find interesting and be sure to discuss it's abundance (how much is on the earth?), cost (how much you have to pay for it?), sources (where is it found and/or isolated?), properties (how does it behave?), atomic structure (what does it look like at the atomic level?), Bohr model (what does it's shell structure look like, where are the sub-atomic particles?) and appearance (what does it look like in large amounts?).
